Position Overview

Systems Biology is an interdisciplinary department that is pushing the boundaries of cancer research by integrating technology development, bioengineering, data science, and systems biology.
The primary purpose of this Research Assistant II position is to provide technical and coordination skills in carrying out various research projects. The secondary purpose is to maintain laboratory equipment, samples and reagents.
The ideal Research Assistant II candidate will have hands-on experience in molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, and human tissue processing. Experience with 10x Genomics assays, tissue sectioning, and staining is strongly preferred, along with the ability to support laboratory operations and research coordination.
Minimum $21.63 - Midpoint $27.16 - Maximum $32.69
Work Location: Onsite; Texas Medical Center
