Science Technician

We are seeking torecruit a Science Technician to supportthe Science Department Team in the provision of timely and effective supportfor students and staff. The successful candidate will undertake the followingtasks:

• perform laboratory tests in order toproduce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
• carry out routine tasks accurately andto carry out analyses;
• prepare samples and solutions;
• construct, maintain and operatestandard laboratory equipment, for example ensure the laboratory iswell-stocked, resourced and tidy;
• keeping up to date with technicaldevelopments, especially those which can save time and improvereliability;
• keeping up to date with Health andSafety requirements
• following and ensuring strict safetyprocedures and safety checks are adhered to.
