Overview

The Security Designer works alongside architects, engineers and interior designers, developing integrated security solutions for clients using surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, visitor management, voice communication, and collaborative control center systems. The designer must produce technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design access control, video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and alarm systems, providing comprehensive protection both inside and outside the building.
• Identify risks and threat models into layered security strategies (perimeter, building, floor, room, rack/cage) to be mitigated in the security design.
• Define security zoning, access policies, and operational workflows for employees, visitors, contractors, vendors, and deliveries.
