Senior Accountant (Vaughan)

Job Description: We have partnered with our boutique public accounting firm client located in Vaughan with their search for a Senior Accountant for their firm. This role is open to a hybrid arrangement for a senior person who can be independent.

Responsibilities

• Direct communication with clients to resolve accounting and tax issues.
• Responsible for compiling and producing financial statements.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Prepare corporate tax returns for a number of investment companies.
• Preparation of Notice‑to‑Readers.
• Liaising with high net worth clients with some complicated investments.
• Some bookkeeping skills required.

Job Requirements

• CPA Designation
• 6 years of public accounting experience
• Strong accounting experience
• Strong corporate tax knowledge is a must
