Position Overview

Our insurance client is looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer (IMS/DB2/PL1) with experience with legacy applications
Duration: 1 year
Location: Winnipeg or London or Regina or Toronto office - on site 3 days a week
On call - Participate in a 24x7 - 6 person On-call team rotation
Responsibilities: 
Provide Leadership
Design, develop and test software to specifications.
Support production (includes 24x7 on call support).
Provide consultation with the Systems Architect and Business Systems Analyst.
Participate in project planning and assessments.
Deliver code reviews and provide feedback relative to best practices.
Coach and mentor staff.
Must Haves:
A degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a software developer role.
