Senior Specialist Unix Administrator (Solaris & AIX) l PJ

This is a dual-platform role for a Senior Specialist Unix Administrator acting as subject‑matter expert and final technical escalation point for both IBM AIX (on IBM Power) and Oracle Solaris (SPARC / x86) environments. The administrator owns the operational architecture, standards and engineering roadmap for the estate, drives automation and modernization, and directs and mentors other administrators.

Responsibilities

At this level the administrator owns the standards, architecture and engineering decisions behind the following, and acts as the final escalation point:

• Troubleshooting, problem investigation, monitoring, and performance analysis and optimization across the AIX and Solaris estates.
• Disaster-recovery and security-management planning.
