Position Overview

About Kova Labs

We build a foundational autonomy layer for unmanned systems operating in the most challenging environments on Earth, starting with Kilo – an autonomous system for forests and indoor settings without continuous communication or GNSS.

Role Overview

As a Simulations Engineer you own and evolve Kova’s simulation stack – the core tool used across engineering teams to test, iterate and validate autonomy in conditions that are hard to replicate in reality.

Responsibilities

  • Own the simulation stack end‑to‑end: physics, rendering, world design, data pipelines and integration with our autonomy systems
  • Fly drones – manually and autonomously – to develop intuition for real‑world dynamics and replicate that fidelity in simulation
  • Design environments and scenarios that stress‑test our systems in cluttered, low‑altitude, GPS‑denied conditions
  • Deploy and manage multi‑drone simulations at increasing scale
