Position Overview
**Position Description & Qualifications**
Come join the team that provides this service to United States! As the Site Manager in conjunction with the newly formed United States Space Force (USSF), are responsible for tracking all man-made objects in orbit in Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT). This mission is vital to keeping existing satellites safe and to provide critical information to organizations launching new satellites in the future. One of the assets USSF uses to accomplish this mission is the Ground-based Electro Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) System.
You’ll respond to Government tasking to obtain metric observations of specific objects daily and help maintain the sensors, support equipment, and the facility that houses it at Detachment 2, Naval Support Facility in Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) and you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a the GEODSS System.
