This is a hands-on engineering leadership role where you're expected to: Still write code (about 60% of your time) Lead architecture and make key technical decisions Manage and develop a team (about 40%) Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices Own delivery outcomes end-to-end It's essentially a 'player-coach' role: part senior engineer, part manager.
