Position Overview
Role & responsibilities
- Supervise subsea cable laying operations (flexible/rigid power, fiber optic & umbilical cables) from pipelay barge / offshore construction vessel.
- Coordinate cable routing, touchdown monitoring, tension control, pull‑in and termination activities.
- Interface with ROV team, bridge, survey, deck crew, winch/tensioner operators and AHT vessels during installation operations.
- Monitor cable carousel, linear cable engine (LCE), tensioners, winches and over boarding chute to ensure safe installation.
- Verify cable position, bend radius, burial requirements and installation tolerances as per project specifications.
Preferred candidate profile
- 10+ years of offshore subsea installation experience, including subsea cable laying / pipelay barge operations.
- Experience working on DP vessels and/or anchor‑moored pipelay barges.
