Surgical Assistant

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Southwest Department of Surgery in Swift Current is seeking a Physician to join the Surgical Assistant team. The successful candidate will support surgical services by providing peri‑operative assistance to surgeons, contributing to safe, timely, and high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical assistance across a range of procedures as required by the Division of Surgery.
• Participate in scheduled operating room activities and related peri‑operative care.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiology, nursing, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in call or scheduled coverage as determined by service needs.
• Comply with all SHA bylaws, policies, and professional practice standards.
