Position Overview

Job Description
We're looking for an engine-adjacent Technical Artist for Horizon animation. You'll ship C++ features and fixes in the animation runtime, design TypeScript scripting APIs for creators, and build the test assets and pipeline checks that keep content healthy — owning features end to end, from prototype to documented, durable SDK surfaces.

Responsibilities:
• Build and ship runtime animation features in C++: layered blending, skeleton masks, root motion, state machines, and animation sockets.
• Debug and fix production animation issues (T-posing, blend errors, race conditions) using crash reports, telemetry, and regression tests.
• Design creator-facing TypeScript animation APIs and carry them through review to stable, documented SDK releases.
• Create animation test content in DCC tools, including edge-case rigs and malformed assets, to validate importer warnings and pipeline behavior.
