Technical Inspector

Summary Performs initial, random, and final inspections on vehicles/equipment submitted for repair or services and shall determine that all repairs do not exceed maintenance expenditure limits (MEL) established by applicable equipment technical bulletins or by a local policy prior to work being initiated. Must possess the skills and knowledge of maintenance and repair activities on various vehicles and pieces of equipment including but not limited to heavy equipment, tactical and non-tactical heavy‐duty trucks, semi‐tractors, KALMARs and material handling equipment, i.e., 4000lb to a 40Ton Forklifts, M4Ks, Atlas M270s, Dozers (D7G), graders, Heavy Duty Agricultural Equipment, compressors, air compressors, and ground support equipment, generators, water/hydraulic pumps, electrical systems, fuel and exhaust systems.
