Technician – Traction Motors
Location: Nottingham
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 Friday: 06:30 – 15:00
Salary: £45,000 per annum + benefits Overtime: x1.5 after 8 hours per day x1.5 Saturdays x2 Sundays
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Traction Motor Technician to join our specialist rail engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, overhaul, rewinding, repair, assembly and testing of traction motors used on Class 66 locomotives. You will work within a busy workshop environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This role would suit an electrically biased technician with experience working on traction motors, rotating electrical equipment, generators, motors, or similar heavy industrial machinery.
