Position Overview
Join the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council as a Volunteer Coordinator Assistant for the upcoming Tlu-piich Games. Open to individuals of Aboriginal descent, this role focuses on effective volunteer management and training.
As an Assistant Volunteer Coordinator with NTC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a successful event by assisting in volunteer recruitment and management. Candidates should possess coordination experience, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to community engagement. This position also includes the task of coordinating heavy lifting and logistical support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Volunteer Coordinator with all games activities
• Engage in interviewing and matching volunteers with tasks
• Guide volunteers during event set-up and take-down
• Offer administrative help, including meeting minutes
• Aid the Tlu-piich Games Coordinator in fundraising
Requirements:
• Completion of high school diploma/GED or currently in Grade 12
