Welding Engineer

Overview

Welding Engineer responsible for management of welding activities (engineering, operation, WPQTs, WQTs, mobilization) for project execution. Part of the department's core group providing technical expertise and improvement.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for welding engineering / operation including interface with PMT and Client.
• Review contractual documents and specifications (Welding / NDT / line pipe / FJC). Provide technical evaluation, deviations, and clarifications for project execution and bidding/tendering. Review project-specific welding / NDT / FJC program, execution plan, method statement, schedule, weld map, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and relevant documentation (qualification and installation). (*) Main accountability remains from NDT and Coating Engineers.
