With over 350 passionate Educators spread across the Hunter, Maitland, Newcastle, and Port Stephens regions, we take immense pride in delivering high-quality services to our community.Our Fern Bay centre is located 2 mins from Stockton Bridge & directly across from Fern Bay Public School in beautiful Worimi Country. 2IC / Educational Leader ECT - 5 days per week (8 hour shifts) - 38hrs with accrued RDO As the 2IC/Educational Leader, you will be responsible for: Assisting the Nominated Supervisor in managing daily operations and implementing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. Provide Pedagogical leadership to ensure the provision of quality care and education programs for children, and direction, support and continuous learning for staff. Demonstrate and share knowledge of child development and effective approaches to facilitation of children's care and education programs. Supporting educators in implementing curriculum and pedagogical practices that are informed by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and reflect best practices in early childhood education. Maintain a safe environment for children, families, team members and all visitors. Build respectful and reciprocal relationships with children and families - ensuring the families of the centre are encouraged to contribute to the quality and success of the service. Ensure the philosophy, policies and procedures of the service are upheld, implemented and reviewed regularly to meet relevant requirements. Lead and support the service is led through the Assessment and Rating cycle. Supporting educators in implementing curriculum and pedagogical practices that are informed by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and reflect best practices in early childhood education. Conducting regular observations and assessments of children's learning and development, providing feedback to educators, and guiding their professional growth. You should possess a Current Working with Children Check NSW, along with First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
