What you'll do As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for: Develop and maintain relationships with the Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to successfully deliver programs. Managing a team in service delivery and programs ensuring efficient allocation of resources and oversight Ongoing performance management and development of staff and youth justice conferencing convenors Ensuring effective interventions are in place to mitigate identified risks to community safety. Implementing change through effective decision-making at a management level Overseeing of referrals to Youth Justice Conferencing What we're looking for Recognised tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education or related field or relevant experience. A current Driver's Licence NSW Working with children's check for paid employment. In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in: Representing the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way Tailoring communication to the audience Understanding customer perspectives and be responsive to their needs Anticipating, identifying and addressing issues and potential problems Apply computer applications that enable performance of more complex tasks. Defining and clearly communicating roles and responsibilities to a team Initiating and developing longer-term goals and plans in line with organisational objectives.
