The Accredited Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer is accountable for the administrative provision of information requested under FOI and other legislation. Key responsibilities: Contributes to the coordination, preparation and provision of documentation in accordance with Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation. Contributes to the co-ordination preparation and provision of documents and information in accordance with legal requests, court orders, and statutory requirements. Contributes to the provision of documents to ensure requests are acted on within the designated timeframes, that they are customer service focussed, they meet deadlines for statistical reporting and that they adhere to the relevant guidelines, procedures, policies and statutory limitations. Liaises with various public authorities, medical and business professionals, patients and patients' relatives and legal guardians. Liaises and contributes to the development of the FOI Officers network across operational units of LCLHN. Eligibility Completion of the SA State Records Freedom of Information Certificate course enabling eligibility for appointment (and designation by the Chief Executive Officer), as an Accredited Freedom of Information Officer.
