This contract can be filled on full-time (1.0 FTE) orpart-time basis, staring immediately for 8 months. The position is to be filledat either AHP2 or AHP3 classification level, determined by skills, knowledgeand experience of individual applicants and level of responsibility relevant tothe position. About the Job: The psychologist works with preschool and schoolstaff, and parents to develop evidence-based psychology interventions. Thepsychologist is a member of an inter-disciplinary team and works with childrenand young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behaviouraland physical difficulties, and exceptional needs (including giftedness) andtheir families. The psychologist works with preschool and school staff, andparents to develop evidence-based psychology interventions that include proactive,targeted and intensive strategies that can be adapted for learning and homecontexts. This position works under the professional support and direction ofthe Senior Psychologist. Qualifications: Essential: Current and fullregistration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia. Desirable: Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor. Area of practiceendorsement - educational and developmental psychology and/or clinicalpsychology and/or counselling psychology. Special Conditions: The successful applicant isrequired to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with childrencheck (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every fiveyears before incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Respondingto Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - EducationCare) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every threeyears.
