The role
SLR has an exciting opportunity for an experienced town planner or environmental specialist to join our Environmental Assessment & Management team based out of our brand new Subiaco office. If you are a high calibre individual with a town planning or environmental background, this role represents an excellent opportunity to broaden your skills in both the planning and environmental approvals areas. As part of the Environmental Assessment & Management team you will work with other technical specialists in SLR, play a key role in delivering projects, contribute to bids and develop client relationships. Key Responsibilities About you
To be successful in this role you will be motivated and reliable as well as having: A Tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or equivalent), Environmental Science or a related field A minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience with demonstrated experience in urban and regional planning, environmental management and/or environmental impact assessment Working knowledge of Western Australian planning and environmental legislation and relevant policies, standards and guidelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia. Job tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include: Preparing environmental assessment, environmental management and planning approval documentation Providing advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment, town planning and management principles to clients and internal SLR team members Ensuring project schedules and financial outcomes are achieved through effective project management Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with clients and internal SLR team members Working within and leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors Delivering clear and precise, high quality reports Occasional travel to undertake site inspections or field studies.
