Our Tuggeranong clinic is a 3 vet small and exotics animals GP practice that will expose you to a varied and interesting caseload on a daily basis.
We are currently seeking a customer focused Associate Vet to help support the increasing demands of this fast growing clinic. Our Lead Vet has joined us from abroad and brings the Tuggeranong community a highly experienced veterinary practitioner with over 8 years experience and long list of accolades, credentials and scores of leadership roles on Boards and Memberships. The Lead Vet’s impact has been immediate and the need for an Associate Vet to support the clinic’s exponential growth is going to be critical in maintaining our vision of sustained growth.
Our continued success is also attributed to how we set ourselves apart from the “corporate” management of clinics and promote a personal approach with one another and our long – standing clients. Our relationships are forged on trust, integrity, diligence and a true family spirit. While there are several opportunities available to Associate Vets in the profession, this is a uniquely career – defining one. Here’s why.
Career and lifestyle benefits of the role:
Advocates for continuous education and personalised development we offer a comprehensive 8 – week induction program and detailed clinical resources, an extensive library of certified online training modules on any subject of interest, invitations to industry events and conferences, and connecting you to a network of vets across our 30+ clinics/stores nationwide. Should you be interested, we will extend your accountability and provide specific training to assist your career progression into leadership.
In support of a work – life balance, you will only be rostered ordinary hours (part time if preferred), so no on-call or overtime are involved. Weekends are rotated across the veterinary team and sole charge days are rostered only when you are ready.
Your role as Associate Vet:
Further to your current two or more years of vet experience, you will be guided by this seasoned mentor in the critical areas of consultations, diagnostics, standard procedures, Tier 2 surgeries and general preventative medicine of small animals and exotics. Having practised overseas, the Lead Vet will broaden your experience to international and national veterinary practices. Our expanding resources will refine your application of modern clinical equipment used in imaging, microscopy, full surgeries (including isoflurane gas/anaesthesia), and dentals.
You and your clients have immediate access to products, services and the knowledge of our retail and grooming teams ready to help you with information about nutrition, health & well – being range, latest pet care products, pre – puppy school and animal behaviour, grooming and skin/coat care. This allows you to focus on your role and rely on the team to support you the rest of the way, with designated grooming and puppy pre-school and retail areas. Each day you will feel a sense of fulfillment as you witness the difference you are making in the welfare of these pets and the impact on their devoted families, the clinical challenges you resolve and seeing yourself evolve as a vet who’s repeatedly asked for by name.
