A government department in Canberra seeks the services of Capacity Management Information System Administrator and Developer with baseline clearance.
Key Tasks/Duties
The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
• Develop data collection or monitoring solutions to meet business requirements.
• Maintain in-house Capacity Management information system (CMIS) tool (Compass) along with COTS monitoring tools
• Implement data collection methods across different platforms and technologies
• Implement data collection feeds from other monitoring tools and configuration databases (Grafana, Vrops, Elastic, Prometheus, etc.)
• Maintain architectural documentation to support Compass
• Develop reporting solutions to meet business requirements.
• Produce dashboards as required
• Add reporting capabilities into Compass as required
• Candidates may assist with investigations or analysis into the capacity or performance of applications and systems.
• Candidates possessing experience in Java development, SQL, Unix, Docker are encouraged to apply.
• Provide architectural directions for capacity alerting and reporting solutions.
• Team mentoring and coaching of members including skills and knowledge transfer.
• Liaise with Platform teams/Development Teams/Project Teams to ensure that the appropriate capacity monitoring is implemented.
Selection Criteria
Mandatory Criteria
1. Experience in Monitoring Technologies.
2. Analysis into the capacity or performance of applications and systems.
3. Experience in implementation of data collection feeds from multiple monitoring tools and configuration databases.
4. Experience in working with disparate Platform teams/Development Teams/Project Teams to ensure that the appropriate capacity monitoring is implemented

Length of Contract: 4 months with 2*5 months possible extension options
