Careers Advisor Job in Sydney Recruiting by Pymble Ladies' College

The role

Being apart of an innovative and dynamic team who engage and connect students to theexciting future of work is rare with Careers Advisor positions. We have an amazingopportunity for a motivated and energetic Careers teacher to become a valuedmember of our Futures team on a part-time permanent basis. The load and daysare negotiable with the right candidate, with an FTE of 0.60 to 0.80,commencing from Term 4.

You willbe experienced and confident in delivering Careers advice, with tertiaryqualifications in Careers being highly desirable. Ensuring each interactionwith our students is meaningful and relevant, you will be a part of their‘Watch us Change the World’ journeys, guiding them on their individual pathways– whether this be via assistance on university applications, work experienceopportunities, GAP years, student exchanges, development courses or any othermeans to achieve their dreams.

You willbe a part of a technologically savvy, creative and wellbeing focused team, supportingan established specialised Careers framework. The role is varied and significant,with opportunities to step outside the ‘standard’ with such initiatives assupporting Junior School Careers Expos, online Careers nights and joint ventureswith our partner schools both domestically and abroad.

You will:

• Be confident in the delivery of Careers frameworks and programs
• Have a sound understanding of NESA syllabus requirements and currentNESA accreditation
• Be an inspiring, creative, out of the box thinker who is open to beinvolved in emergent initiatives
• Be a reflective professional, engaged in ongoing development andresearch in relation to your practice, particularly with keeping acrosschanging processes external to the College (ATAR, university applications etc.)
• Be positive andcollaborative in your contributions to a successful Futures department andother teams who are committed to improving educational outcomes
• Understand andapply feedback, evaluation and improvement strategies to deliver qualityprograms and experiences for the Pymble community
• Have a strongunderstanding of the application of technology to enhance learning
• Be committed tosupporting student wellbeing.

We offer salaries above the award, ranging from $86,000 - $123,000 perannum (plus superannuation). Your salary will be based on your NESAaccreditation level.
