About the role
You will take the lead role in building capacity of families through focused support using our Key to Care framework in a holistic and culturally safe way.
As the successful applicant, you will ensure the cultural safety of the family with a trauma informed approach to support healing and recovery. You will work with families to develop case plans that will clearly work toward the goals and timelines for transition planning whilst working with key stakeholders including the Department of Communities and local community contacts.
Qualities, Experience and Skills Required
To be successful you will have a strong understanding and solid skills relating to Family Support. Ideally you will have a Cert IV or higher in Community Services Field (or equivalent). The role will primarily be based within the community working with families and maintaining the safety of the children or young people in care. Flexibility and the ability to work unsupervised is an essential component.
