ACU English Language Centres are accredited by the Australian Government's Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA); quality assured by NEAS and are members of peak professional bodies, English Australia and University English Centres Australia (UECA).We are seeking casual teachers to cover English for Academic purposes (EAP) and General English classes who can deliver engaging and innovative classes online and on our campuses. ACU English Language Centre is a collaborative, student focused environment offering pathways to students aiming for further study at ACU. Our casual teachers are valued members of our team and core to supporting students to fulfil their learning goals and transition into other tertiary study.The main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:Teaching a variety of ELICOS classes (teaching roster and total weekly hours to vary based on operational needs)Engaging students in their learning through a student-centred teaching philosophydemonstrating an understanding of the challenges facing international students preparing for tertiary study.administering and assessing tests and assignments as required.participating in moderation processes and attending course meetings.maintaining accurate records; including and student progress records.escalating student welfare concerns as appropriate.attending and actively participating in scheduled meetings & Professional Development Sessions.other duties relating to teaching and class administration as required.Applicants for these positions must meet the minimum qualification standards of Australia's National English Language Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) comprising:The University pursues an excellence agenda and offers an environment where staff are welcomed and safe, and valued through development, participation and involvement.How to Apply:To lodge your Expression of Interest, please email Svetlana Lukovic
