Clients & Markets - Senior Adviser (12 month parental leave contract) Apply locations Brisbane Sydney time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id JR-101423 The role Propel your business development career by assuming a strategically important role working within our national Clients & Markets (C&M) function.
In this role you will identify and implement business development initiatives in support of our 2023-2026 Firm Strategy. This will involve playing a front-line role supporting our partners identify and respond to opportunities across the firm's priority growth areas, with a particular focus on private capital and multinational clients. This role will report into our Head of Emerging & Global Markets, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with numerous senior stakeholders within the firm.
Key responsibilities include: Project management of, and driving tenders and bid opportunities, including business plans, tender flow and profiling Work with the senior C&M management team to implement credible and effective business development plans and initiatives (including awareness training, profile raising, collaboration projects, and business development strategy) Assisting in managing key client accounts Working with colleagues on pursuits and cross-practice group initiatives Identifying client/new work opportunities, emerging product and service areas and working with other stakeholders to pursue these Working with the team to implement the firm's Client Service strategy Participating in client feedback sessions and matter debriefs Working on other business critical projects across the business Communicating the vision and purpose of C&M to the firm to heighten its understanding of the role of C&M as trusted advisers Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications (either business or legal) coupled with legal/business development experience gained ideally from a professional services environment Excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate outcomes Strong tender management skills and a proactive and pragmatic style Proven leadership skills, including people/team management experience Agility and proactivity, a connector and collaborator Curiosity and intellect - an ability to ask the right questions and listen to the response Business acumen - understanding drivers of the business Ability to build rapport and relationships, with a strong good influencing and consulting style In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter; someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients. The Clients & Markets team The Clients and Markets (C&M) team is responsible for providing services and advice on client relationship management, client relationship marketing, branding and design, market & industry analysis, media and corporate affairs, legal communications and tenders.
