Assist in the provision of high-quality services to patients requiring Ear, Nose and Throat services and assist the Hospital and Health Service Clinical Director of Surgery with provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable Ear, Nose and Throat service at the Hospital. This includes outpatients, inpatients, elective and emergency Ear, Nose and Throat surgery.

The Hospital:
This is a level 2 hospital (354) beds with 24-hour cardiac intervention, trauma service, medical specialities including Respiratory, Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrine, Rheumatology, Oncology on site with visiting specialists in other disciplines.
To reflect the growing demand for health care in the region, the Hospital has been redeveloped at a cost of $408 million. The redeveloped hospital is a digital hospital, equipped with leading edge technology to assist staff to provide the highest level of care and comfort to patients. It is the first regional hospital in Queensland to have the complete integrated electronic medical record.

Mandatory qualifications/Professional registration:
Registration with the Medical Board of Australia with Specialist registration y or appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia to practise in the specialist position and; Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship via the substantial comparability pathway.
