Our client Colac Otway Shire Council is looking for a Coordinator Infrastructure Development to join their organisation. The role is based in Colac with a population forecast to reach , by 0, and Colac Otway Shire has a strategic plan to guide sustainable residential growth and infrastructure development.
This role has a critical role in both the organisation and the wider community and provides an excellent opportunity to work with a high performing Executive Leadership Team.
As the Coordinator Infrastructure Development;
Key Responsibilities are held across the areas of Infrastructure and Development Engineering and Capital Works. These include;
Provision of strategic transport infrastructure and infrastructure development, and technical advice on cross- functional planning groups and project teams.
Coordinate the timely response to customer requests, both internal and external
Co-ordinate supervision, monitoring and compliance auditing
Develop written procedures to ensure consistency in the application of decisions
Coordinate service planning to identify, prioritise, and develop infrastructure projects, funding applications, and business cases
Provide engineering and traffic management input to Event Management Referrals
Experience and skills required include:
Substantial experience in Civil Engineering and project management service delivery
Broad experience in Municipal Engineering with a focus on drainage, roads and road safety and asset management
Demonstrated ability to work proactively with a wide range of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in a role requiring contract management
The ability to be proactive, advise and problem solve effectively
Sound understanding of technical design development processes and considerations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience relevant to the position is essential. A minimum of 5 years, working for an organisation that delivers engineering and/or project management services would also be required.
