The Opportunity
Are you a confident and motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a passion for working in mechanics? Kick start your career by applying for this Apprentice Diesel Fitter position with Hinchinbrook Shire Council.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst studying and working towards a successful completion of Certificate III in Mobile Plant or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology which have a 4-year nominal study term.
This has a focus on building the essential skills and expertise required for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines. This role is designed for individuals who have a passion for automotive mechanics, providing hands-on training, collaboration opportunities with seasoned professionals, and a pathway for personal and professional growth.

General Salary Information
This position will be paid under Stream C Award – Apprentice Mechanics, where the annual salary is dependent on age and time out of school at the time of appointment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Pre-employment screening includes Medicals, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and Criminal History Checks to ensure capability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
