Diploma Qualified Group Leader needed at Paisley Park Newtown Childcare & Outside School Hours Care (Education & Training)
We are seeking a Diploma Qualified Group Leader at our Long Day Care Centre in Newtown/Geelong. Licensed for 72 children per day, our multi-age grouping provides ample opportunity for learning to take place in an unhurried manner.
Our Centre has been recently fully renovated. Our spaces are freshly painted, surfaces updated, flooring replaced and brand new bathroom/nappy change spaces. Our furnishings and resources are brand new, ensuring that our whole team have the very best resources to plan and implement high-quality activities for the children.
Our lovely, kind and highly experienced Centre Director is passionate about mentoring Educators to achieve the best possible in their daily practice. With our strong leadership team, the successful candidate will be supported in her/his role.
We value our Educators and support them in advancing their careers in many ways. This is part of our Professional Learning Framework implemented through monthly workshops that cover many areas of interest, including the National Quality Standards.
We provide time 'off the floor' to reflect on documentation and planning. We provide professional development and training, staff parking, and significantly reduced childcare for Educators with children. We provide a custom-designed uniform, amazing resources, and inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures and languages.
The role requires knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, and the National Quality Standards. Applicants must also have a strong work ethic and be willing to adapt to our flexible program.
Successful candidates will hold a recognised Early Childhood qualification, such as a Diploma in Children's Services. In addition, applicants must have:
A Working with Children Check A Senior First Aid/ Anaphylaxis/ Asthma certificate Child Protection Certification An understanding of the Code of Conduct, Child Care Standards, Red Nose Guidelines, WHS Principles and Education and Care Regulations We change lives and not just children.
