Seeking an experienced Document Controller to start Mid-March for up to 6 months on a temporary contract Your new company Our client is a large State Government department located close to East Perth train station. Your new role You will provide a document control service for the management of corporate policies and procedures and facilitate the acquisition and distribution of Standards, Acts and Regulations applicable to the department. The role also assists with the administration of the organisation's document control, Business Management System and intranet site. Undertake all aspects of document control processes necessary for the efficient management of the departments' corporate policies and procedures and other corporate-controlled documents. Monitor and initiate the review of internal policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement. Administer online subscriptions and advise managers of updates to subscribed standards. Monitor and advise on changes to legislation and other Government publications . Monitor and maintain controlled documents on the intranet Publish and distribute Safety Information Communications. Facilitate additional publishing specifications of c ontrolled documents as required. Update the Emergency Callout List as required. Assist with the delivery of induction training for new employees on systems policies, information services and emergency management. Assist with the maintenance of databases, as required Assist in the development and review of policies and procedures Conduct compliance audits Undertake project work, as required What you'll need to succeed Working knowledge of the use of Business and Electronic Document and Records Management Systems within a large organisation. Proven experience controlling documents within a large organisation. Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental management systems and associated standards. Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey ideas and concepts to individuals and groups. Demonstrated ability to identify trends and issues and make recommendations that contribute towards ongoing improvements in the workplace A current National Police Clearance certificate, dated 3 months or less from the date of application for the position.
