About the role
The EL2 Business Architect (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the Department. The position will exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement. The role will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes across the functions that have strategic or operational significance to the Department.
The EL2 Business Architect (Labour Hire) is responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Where required, it will represent and negotiate on behalf of the Department to advance the Department’s interests in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional and other forums.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Presenting future state Participant Journey for diverse audiences as required.
- Updating future state Participant Journey, reflecting scope and concept design from Scheme Reform Projects.
- Working with service designers, explaining future state and ensuring designs align with the future state.
- Participating in design workshops representing future state.
- Raising risks with executive where designs are not congruent with the future state Participant Journey.
- Advocating that designs should progress towards, or achieve, future state.
- Working with technology partners, ensuring that technology changes support the future state Participant Journey.

As operational owner of the future state participant journey, the Business Architect is a critical role in representing this journey as a design input into the various projects which are in aggregate delivering the Department Scheme Reform.
- Operational owner of the future state Department Participant Journey.
- Understand the complexity and interdependencies within the Participant Journey
- Work across multiple stakeholders to ensure that parallel work streams contribute to a consistent Journey design.
- Ensure that the future state Participant Journey achieves positive experience and outcomes for Department participants, their families and carers.
- Refine the future state Participant Journey to reflect the final designs of Reform initiatives.
To be successful in this role you must hold:
* Australian Citizen
* Public sector experience is preferred.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field (Masters degree highly desirable) and / or equivalent professional experience
