About the role We are currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join our high-performing team at our QCoal Northern Hub; situated about 100km South-west of Bowen in the friendly lifestyle location of the beautiful Whitsunday Coast of Queensland and only a few minutes from the township of Collinsville.Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will be required to work collaboratively in the delivery of high-quality solutions and results for our open-cut coal mine site.Key responsibilities in this role will include:
Use your scheduling skills to produce Short/Medium Term schedules for the Northern Hub and produced optimised Short/Medium Term mining plans. Utilise your design skills to develop rolling weekly excavator plans and schedules for the mining operation. Provide and implement designs, including pit and dump design, dozer push, rehabilitation and water management designs. Coordinate plans and schedules and monitoring of actual progress with benchmarks. Assist in the management of the weekly dig/dump plans. Implementation and compliance of the Weekly Plan and site Safety Health and Environmental standards to ensure safe and sustainable mine standards. Provide information to relevant staff to assist in the End of Month reporting requirements. Providing guidance and input into the drill and blast requirements Assessing opportunities to maximising equipment utilisation Assist with in house software and data capture software to run reports as required. Utilise your skills to continually aim for innovative solutions.
