About the Role:

As an Event Planner, you'll be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing a diverse range of events within the parkland's premises. Collaborating closely with stakeholders and team members, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional events that cater to various audiences and objectives.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
- Creative Conceptualisation: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative event concepts that align with the Corporation’s vision and objectives, generating memorable experiences for visitors.
- Event Planning & Execution: Coordinate all aspects of events including logistics, scheduling, risk and client management, budgeting, and permits.
- Client Relationship Management: Work closely with the Senior Event Planner to coordinate all aspects of events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Budget Management: Manage event budgets in line with the Corporation’s procurement policy, negotiating with suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Venue Preparation & Design: Coordinate with internal and/or external stakeholders to prepare event venues, implementing creative design elements to enhance the ambiance and aesthetics of events.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to develop promotional strategies and materials to effectively market events.
- Stakeholder Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, sponsors, and community groups, ensuring alignment of goals and seamless execution of events.
- Record Management: Maintain a standard of excellent record management by developing relevant event documentation and populating event information and client supplied documents.
- Logistical Oversight: Oversee all logistical aspects of events on the day-of, ensuring events run smoothly and attendees have a positive experience.
- Evaluation & Improvement: Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to assess the success of events against predetermined goals and metrics, gathering feedback to identify areas for improvement.
