ABOUT THE ROLES
The role of Executive Assistant involves providing executive assistance to the Director Engineering Services and to other members of the Executive Management Team as required.
Other duties include:
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department and the organisation by ensuring that the duties of the position are performed promptly and efficiently. Assist with the management of communications with the public and stakeholders. Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the organisation by providing a link between members of the Executive Management Team and staff, releasing the Executive Management Team members from administrative tasks, progressing issues as far as possible on behalf of the Executive Management Team, and ensuring speedy response times. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
Certificate IV in Business Administration / Frontline Management equivalent qualification and extensive office administration experience Relevant work experience in the following areas: secretarial support;preparation of correspondence and reports;customer service;record keeping procedures. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to exercise judgement and clarity in prioritising issues. Ability to be flexible to attend meetings outside normal office hours, as required. Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with conflict resolution along with excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to relate to people at all levels. Demonstrated competence in internal and external customer service focus, including provision of requested information and follow through on requests. Demonstrated numeracy, written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. NSW Police Check Clearance. Be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and PowerPoint packages. Current NSW Class C Driver Licence.
