The organisation will play a critical role in assisting the Queensland Government to meet its renewable energy targets of 70% renewables by 2032, 80% by 2035 and net zero emissions by 2050, supporting the shift in the Australian economy to a decarbonised energy system.We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Project Engineers. The Project Engineers will have a versatile role within our program of projects with a focus on providing engineering expertise to support all activities associated with civil infrastructure such as earthworks, dams, roads, bridges and structures and underground associated with a pumped storage facility.The Project Engineer accountabilities are as follows however not limited to.Contribute to the specification and review of designs to ensure compliance in project components, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.Offer advice or coordinate responses to technical issues, risks, or information requests from contractors.Provide technical support both on-site and off-site.Define and develop asset management strategies, standards, guidelines, monitoring, testing, and inspection programs for the ongoing maintenance and operational requirements of this asset class.Assist with schedule and planning updates.Conduct on-site safety and progress inspections and assist with QA/QC.Liaise with the Project Director and Senior Project Manager to stay informed of all developments associated with the project.Ensure familiarity, compliance, and the ability to undertake duties under the relevant Health and Safety regulations, promoting a culture of awareness within the team.Ideally you will have the following attributes: Min 4yrs post graduate experienceWould be desirable to have experience within a major infrastructure project within Government owned entities.Desirable to have experience in roads, large dam, hydro pumped storage schemes or civil infrastructure projects.Enthusiasm for learning and major civil construction activities.Competence in the evaluation and interpretation of data.Strong all-round communication skillsHow to applyTo play a key role in one of Australia’s most significant energy investments please don’t hesitate to apply via our Live Hire Portal by clicking the ‘Apply’ link.
