This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for ensuring mod.io is complaint with relevant financial legislation and regulations and for the administration of all of mod.io's finances and accounts.Your responsibilities include:Provide advice and guidance on accounting practices to ensure mod.io remains compliant with relevant financial legislation and regulations as we growTake the initiative to improve current accounting processesGeneral Ledger reconciliationAccounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableBank reconciliationEmployee payroll and reimbursementsContractor statements of work and invoice paymentsProcessing Superannuation, IAS and BASTax returns in collaboration with our external accountantsPayroll taxInsurance, including Workcover in relevant states and various business insurancesManagement of funds including currency conversions and transfer of funds between interest bearing bank accounts to maximise working capitalUpdate lightweight process and policy documentation as neededInvestor reportingAny other general bookkeeping as required by a growing start upWhy work at mod.io?We're very ambitious in what we want to achieve as a company, and we work closely together to achieve our goals.We're transparent and honest, and our focus is on getting things done in the most efficient way possible - if something is slowing us down, we want to know about it and fix it.We're a small team with 35 people globally.
