About This Opportunity Locally known as Global Mobility Advisor, this role supports the Australian inbound and outbound Global Mobility practices for The University of Queensland. You will act as the first point of contact and a trusted advisor for Global Mobility services and provide guidance and advice to new employees, HR colleagues and clients across the University.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to navigate domestic and international relocations in collaboration with our external provider, International Tax practices, Immigration compliance and third-party payroll.Your exceptional coordination skills will be essential in managing the logistical aspects of cross-border appointments.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate the mobility (relocation and removal) in line with the policy and processes to support Australian inbound and outbound moves and deliver a seamless employee experience according to governance protocols.
Provide advice and support to Hiring Managers, Talent Acquisition and employees on Global Mobility matters in relation to policy and practices to mitigate compliance risks to UQ
Act as the first point of contact for Global Mobility services and provide guidance and advice to new employees in relation to Immigration and relocation policy, procedures, and processes.
Develop strong working relationships with the third-party vendor account managers
Coordinate with external providers to initiate domestic and international relocation, and destination services. Provide advice on international working arrangements including the delivery and administration of the Overseas Flexible Work policy and International Remote Work procedure.
Provide accurate advice to the Talent Acquisition team, Human Resource team, employees and managers on the best approach according to UQ policy using risk mitigation strategies.
Manage the reporting requirements for senior leadership on various portfolios and programs.
Liaise with internal Insurance, Governance & Risk, Health Safety & Wellness and Tax teams.
This is a full-time permanent position based at St Lucia. Flexible working arrangements such as WFH/hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and flex time are available.
At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099 - $94,512 plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,-076 - $110,579 annually.As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases in line with the EBA.
About You We are looking for a HR generalist with experience in (or an interest in specialising in) Global Mobility, Immigration or Tax in large multinational organisations or the higher education sector.
Undergraduate qualification in HR, business or a related field plus relevant experience in Global Mobility or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience coordinating Global Mobility processes associated with relocating employees, including engaging with third party vendors to Relocation, Tax, payroll, and Immigration service providers, and maintaining accurate records.
Experience with Australian Immigration and visa applications for employer sponsored visas (subclass:400, 408, 482 and 186 visas) and familiarity with International Remote Work. Excellent organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing demands without compromising standards of service or quality.
Exposure to managing an Australian outbound population of mobile employees will be highly regarded.
