About the Role The Maintenance Manager at Harbour Rocks Hotel will manage and coordinate an effective maintenance service to all departments. You will be tasked at ensuring the building and surrounds, plant, machinery, and equipment is maintained and operates at the most efficient and productive method possible. We are looking for a trustworthy, energetic individual who can work unsupervised and in wider team environments. Some key responsibilities of this hands on role are: Maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, furnishings, fixtures, equipment and air conditioning Fast and efficient service for departmental maintenance requests Co-ordination of special projects with a view to minimizing guest inconvenience Management and control expenditure according to the budget Implement and drive the preventative maintenance program. Leading continuous improvements Supervision of (but not limited to) electrical, mechanical, pest control, cleaning, fire protection, security control systems, hydraulic services and approved contractor works. Ensure WHS best practice at all times. Stock control, supplier management. Skills & Experience Previous hands-on Maintenance/Facilities Management experience, preferably in a hotel environment Knowledge and understanding of all legal requirements and regulations relating to company and commercial building standards. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Experience implementing a preventative maintenance program.
