About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Front Office Manager at Harbour Rocks Hotel within the EVT Independent Collection in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, the Front Office Manager will lead the hotels day to day operations by turning every guest experience in to an unforgettable one.
Some duties include:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of Rooms operations
Lead and manage the front desk team; rostering and forecasting and driving sales into other areas of the hotel to maximum departmental profit Knowledgeable with regard to current room rates and yield management strategies Delegate and control departmental expense budgets pertaining to controlling costs and payroll expenses Handle complaints so that it leaves customers satisfied and impressed without compromise Participate in the operations of the Rooms Department to assist and drive service Constantly motivate staff and be positive and passionate of what we offer

Skills & experience
- Proven previous experience in a similar role in a similar or larger property with proven leadership experience.
Has a focus on growing and developing a team of passionate hotel people. Professional and personable, with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. You’re pre-equipped with sound decision making and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure. Hotel Management / Administration qualification or equivalent experience. You will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid and Manager certificates. Outstanding communications and presentation skills both written and verbal.
