Brisbane Infrastructure brings together Council's asset management, infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction, services, maintenance and transport operations activities.
Our Branch
Transport Planning and Operations (TPO) branch is all about keeping Brisbane moving – whether it’s our road network or cycling along one of our many bikeways and shared pathways.
Responsible for the Infrastructure for Brisbane Program, TPO plays a lead role in planning and maintaining Council's transport network and implementing the Transport Plan for Brisbane to enable the efficient and sustainable movement of people and freight.
The Role
This role will ensure that the Brisbane Metropolitan Transport Management Centre (BMTMC) maintains excellence in the provision of transport management functions while delivering up to date procedure development and the Centre Operating Procedure Manual.
The role will also provide effective training and development solutions while, at the same time supporting the Traffic Management Centre as an incident Manager during significant escalated events.
As the Project Officer Operational Support, you will be responsible to:
- design, develop and deliver training and development programs
- design, develop and support implementation and maintenance of centre procedures
- provide advice and support on training and operating procedures
- coordinate and chair internal working groups as required
- oversee and produce high quality reporting.
To be successful you will have:
- demonstrated ability to design, develop, implement and evaluate training strategies
- ability to rapidly acquire incident management within the BMTMC
- demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures
- good time management skills
- ability to engage, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
