TheOpportunity We arelooking for a suitably qualified and experienced Landfill PlantOperator to join our Operations Team to provide excellent customerservices whilst undertaking plant operation tasks at the Kununurra Landfill site and assisting withlandfill attendant services. This role is responsiblefor: Maximising theefficiency of the plant and machinery on all tasks; Constructing andmaintaining landfill storm water swale drains, retention pondsand internal roads; Compacting waste at thelandfill tip face, pushing up of waste and recyclable materialand operating the water and hook lift trucks on a dailybasis; Providing high qualitycustomer service to residents, contractors and business ownersat all times (face to face, via phone or in writing) inaccordance with the Shire's Customer ServiceCharter. A CertificateIII in Civil Construction and/or Waste Management, currentBlue/White Construction Safety Card and unrestricted WA'HR' Class Driver's Licence are essential forthis role, as is demonstrated experience in the safe operation anduser maintenance of medium to large mechanical plant and experienceand knowledge of waste site procedures and relevantlegislation You will have highly developed customer serviceskills, good time management skills, developed interpersonal,written and verbal communication, and a passion for safety in theworkplace.
