About the RoleWe are currently looking for a Lead TL Engineer / Design Manager to join our Adelaide office, would be open to Sydney or Perth for the right candidate. The Lead TL Engineer / Design Manager will build and maintain strong relationships across our client base and facilitate the effective delivery of design packages to our client’s expectations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Lead TL Engineer / Design Manager will play a key role in coordinating teams of engineers to successfully deliver transmission lines projects. Your key duties will include but will not be limited to: Day-to-day management of the design, including leading design meetings with the client and internal engineering team to ensure the program is achievedIdentify any issues that will impede the delivery of design and make recommendations to resolve them so that program/cost/quality outcomes are achieved.Lead and manage the RFI and change control process, and review design packages through to signoffProvide advice on risks and opportunities and actively seek and promote innovationOwn the client relationship and ensure that optimal client and business outcomes are achieved, in a safe and sustainable wayDesign of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD softwareRequirements Minimum of 8 years’ experience in design, costing, estimating, and/or planningBachelor’s degree in electrical, civil or structural engineering, and/or project management qualificationProficient in PLS softwareDemonstrated capability in the development of innovative concepts for solutions to technical, complex issuesCompetent understanding of New Zealand and International codes and standards and risk and contingency assessmentCompetent in the use of MS Office and MS ProjectExperience with client portals such as Aconex is desirableWhat We OfferWe invest and nurture your talent, enabling you to succeed and achieve your full potentialOffice close to public transport, car parks, coffee shops and retail shopsRegular office social club events Monthly office drinks Supportive and fun office/team culture APD is an equal opportunity employer that fosters a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
