Job Summary:Ruggable is looking for a Maintenance & Safety Manager to join our newest international plant in Melbourne, AU. We are looking for someone with previous experience who is ready to take the next step in their career as we build a new facility!As our Maintenance & Safety Manager, you will take ownership of our facility in Melbourne. You will manage day to day facilities and maintenance tasks and support the start-up of the new facility. This role will also lead the development and implementation of safety programs and training in alignment with the corporate standards. Beyond day-to-day facility tasks, a large part of this role will be establishing positive culture in a new facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader and one that embraces new challenges.If you are an ambitious self starter and eager to join a rapidly growing organization this role may be a good fit.What You’ll Do:Functional Leadership- provide overall leadership for the maintenance function in Melbourne. Develop and own maintenance strategies, plans, and budgets. Develop the maintenance team, including organizational design, hiring, training, and skills development. Evaluate supervisors and mechanics to determine opportunities for performance improvement and create development plansSafety- Provide overall site EHS leadership, including strategy development, policies, procedures, risk assessments, root cause analysis, and incident reporting. Develop training programs and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standardsProgram Leadership- lead development and implementation of maintenance and reliability policies, procedures, systems, and tools. Specifically, lead the maturation and refinement of preventive maintenance programs and the effective use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Materials Management- establish and maintain spare parts and related maintenance inventory to support an effective asset management programContinuous Improvement- use data and trends to identify opportunities and to develop and implement plans to realize those improvements.Track maintenance performance using KPIs and CMMS-generated reports and evaluate opportunities for continued improvementWhat You’ll Need to Have:Required:3 - 5 Years experience in Maintenance and/or Environmental Health and SafetyPrevious experience working in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of warehouse, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systemsKnowledge of OHS/Safe Work Australia (or equivalent) regulations, hazard recognition, record keeping, and incident management skillsStrong project management and communication skillsExperience applying Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma principles to drive improvementPreferred:Previous experience managing plant maintenance team(s)Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) SystemsBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experienceNEBOSH Certification (or equivalent)Six Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltProject Management experienceCompensation:110,000 - 130,000 AUD base salary per yearAn annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role#J-18808-Ljbffr
