About the Role We have 2 new opportunities available as Manager, Finance Business Partnering within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences and the Chancellery Cluster. In this role, you will develop and implement financial strategy, support the effective allocation of financial resources, monitor financial performance, and identify risks and mitigation strategies. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the annual budget, financial forecasting and financial performance monitoring activities for the cluster ensuring accuracy, timeliness, alignment with strategic and operational goals and that objectives and outcomes are clearly understood by all budget holders. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, and staff with significant financially accountability. Consolidate financial analysis and insights at the Cluster level and support the Associate Director to communicate outcomes to staff with significant financial accountability. Monitor and analyse short term and long-term financial performance and effectively communicate insights to staff with significant financially accountability. Who we are looking for You will have finance leadership and management experience in a similar sized role, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for articulating analysis into narratives and engaging a broad range of stakeholders. You will also: be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Have graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Accounting or other relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD.
