About the role This is your opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of the Western Australian community though the effective regulation of the liquor industry, minimising alcohol related harm or ill-health, and determining outcomes relating to complex liquor licensing matters. We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Manager Liquor Control & Arbitration. We have one permanent, full time (75hrs p/f) position available. Under relevant legislation, the Manager Liquor Control and Arbitration is responsible for performing statutory functions and exercising delegated authority to assess liquor licensing applications to ensure compliance. You will conduct research, analyse submissions and provide expert advise on intricate licensing matters. Administratively you will be responsible for conducting proceedings, preparing written decisions with supporting reasons and contribute to system improvements, including but not limited to policy development with the Administrative Law Branch. The ideal candidate will bring to this role: A comprehensive working knowledge of the principles and practises of administrative law.
