Provide leadership and direction to the Operational Performance and Reporting Group to ensure delivery of an effective operational performance monitoring and reporting function in accordance with legislative requirements and contemporary best practice. Provide high level advice and recommendations to the QCS executive leadership on a diverse and complex range of issues relevant to strategic planning, performance management and monitoring. Provide strategic analysis of variations and trends in organisational performance and advice regarding significant variations from targets. Prepare reports, submissions, briefs and other correspondence as required, in relation to performance outputs and outcomes. Work with senior managers to align organisational strategies to improve performance measurement, evaluation and reporting practices in Queensland Corrective Services. Contribute to the development of high-level corporate reporting documents such as Service Delivery Statements, Annual Reports and other output reports through the provision of performance data analysis and information. Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of organisational performance and policy issues facing Queensland Corrective Services and its stakeholders. Undertake liaison, consultation, discussion and negotiation with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations within Queensland Corrective Services. Maintain own level of knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures relevant to identified corporate business functions in the context of the correctional system, in addition to emerging issues and trends impacting corrective services.
