We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandise Planner to join our team in Haymarket, Sydney. As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our business by effectively managing inventory, analysing sales data, and developing strategic merchandise plans to optimize sales and profitability.

Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans in collaboration with the Buying team to support sales, margin, and inventory goals. Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and product performance to forecast demand and identify opportunities for growth. Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment, markdowns, and promotions to maximize sell-through and minimize excess stock. Partner with the Buying team to plan and execute product assortments that align with customer preferences, brand strategy, and financial objectives. Conduct regular sales and inventory analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize assortment and pricing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of merchandise plans and initiatives. Prepare and present merchandise plans, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement. To be successful you will ideally have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Finance, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, retail buying, or inventory management, preferably within the fashion industry Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and other planning tools. Experience with XLCubed, TM1 or TRS is favourable Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making Proven track record of driving results through strategic planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused mindset Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends If you are a results-driven individual with a passion for fashion and a strong analytical mindset, we want to hear from you!
