National Sales Manager – Volvo Construction Equipment CJD Equipment is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to support our state-based sales teams. Based in our National office in Guildford, Perth, Western Australia, you will oversee the performance of sales across Australia, developing strategies and programmes to grow our customer base. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Sales & Marketing, you will work closely with the National Sales and Marketing team, to form a deep knowledge of our Volvo Construction Equipment range of products and build excellent relationships with our OEMs. This highly visible role takes the lead in the pursuit of sales opportunities and the ongoing development of relationships with existing clients. You will be responsible for: Analysing our sales data and market shares to understand any gaps to our KPIs, budgeted targets and deliverables, working closely with the State-based sales teams to close any gaps. Development of new sales opportunities through research and marketing in consultations with State-based Sales Management. Build and develop reports to create transparency of our sales performance, as well as keep our State Sales Managers and General Managers informed about market feedback regarding our customers, competitors and geographical reach. Implement marketing plans and key client strategies in consultation with the State Sales Managers and General Managers. Establish and attend networking opportunities and events, leveraging opportunities to build on our customer base. Mentoring and guiding state-based Sales Managers in all facets of the sales environment in consultation with state-based General Managers To be successful, you will need: Sales leadership experience, preferably in heavy industry. Outstanding prospecting, negotiation and closing skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and management skills. Knowledge of, or the ability to learn about construction & earthmoving equipment, including machine specifications. Professional presentation and adaptability. The ability to travel, as required. Exceptional computing skills, where experience with Synergy or similar CRMs will be highly regarded.
